Do you miss being a part of a team? Are You Coachable?

Were you an athlete in school that thrived in being part of a team, enjoying the dynamics of the group and having support in learning and growing in an area or activity that you enjoyed? Have you thought as an adult, about how different life was back then and at times, how much easier?

Have you ever  considered coaching to get your life on the track you want it to be?

Wondering if it is the right fit for you?

Read on to learn about the four traits that make someone coachable!

Ready to Make Changes: A strong candidate for life coaching is ready to take action. He or she is aware of what things are potentially inhibiting their happiness and want to change. It is hard work and the coachable know this and they are willing to commit to the process.

Accountable: Someone who is coachable is willing to take the work on for themselves. A life coach can help you find the right path to take, but only you can put one foot in front of the other to get you down that path. Getting the most out of your life is not a passive process and the people who succeed are those who set goals and then follow-through with action to create their positive change.

Open to Feedback: Sometimes the greatest hurdle a person faces is themselves. Are you open to hearing the observations of another? People who are ready to receive honest and constructive feedback are the people who are ready to be coached.

Transparent and Honest: If a person is withholding information from or lying to his or her coach, the work will be less effective or even completely stymied. A critical component of coaching is establishing a strong relationship with your life coach. With trust and honesty,  you will be able to create a clear path that will allow you to experience the growth and changes you are seeking.
